Abbotsbury is a must with it's world famous swannery and sub tropical garden's , the village itself is very pretty with a wide range of craft shops and tea rooms to tempt you.
St Catherines chapel is a pleasant stroll and on the way back you have to walk past the village shop so why not have an ice cream!

Weymouth
Well where to begin? .....the beach with its beautiful golden sands for children to play and swim, the attractions and Eateries are endless, the sand sculptures are amazing and the fair rides & trampolines are always a hit with the kids.
Weymouth is home to the SEALIFE adventure park and sandworld where parents and children can enjoy the day with all kinds of sea life from tiny seahorses, to fairy penguins, to sharks and turtles.
For those interested in scenic walks or cycles over the country, Weymouth is located on route 26 of the National Cycle Network.
Brewers quay near the old harbour is a lovely place to go, you feel like you are going back in time as you walk along the cobbled streets and the shops are very quaint & interesting.

Portland is a very rugged place you can visit the light house and scramble over the rocks, enjoying the sea and surrounding coastline in it's rawest form.
Portland is home to the famous Chesil Beach, which is 18-miles of pebbles (made up of chert from Cretaceous and Jurassic rocks and other rocks such as flint) spanning to West Bay. The beach offers gorgeous sunset views for the romantics, and great opportunities for wildlife watchers!

The Jurassic coastline is the best view around, which is visible when coming down the hill from the top of Portland. You can nearly see the whole of the Chesil beach!
